Hello¡¡¡¡¡ today I´m going to write about an scientific article of the The guardian´s newspaper in relation with my carrer, physical therapy.
Researchs done by swiss and american scientists about paralysed rats gave the result that across a rigorous plan of rehabilitation, the rats could return to have the aptituds to walk; the rats couldn´t walk because they were presenting a problem to the spinal and so the spinal cord couldn´t received information from the brain to make the movements, therefore was impossible to have a neurological contact with the muscles.
However, the scientists found out that a mix of drugs, muscle stimulation and treadmill exercises helped the rats could have the capacity to walk again. The treatment was that the neural circuits that were 'off'to return to normality gradually after stimulations by tiny electrodes plus the other things named.
The results show the rats during the first weeks, they couldn´t move their hind legs at all, but the next weeks, they could stand up and walk almost normal.
This results some day would can be applicable to human beings, give them many benefits to their lives.
I hope this newspapers give to the world so good scientifics articles to can read and learn.
